Steven P. McFarlane is a 2005 cum laude graduate of the Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago, Illinois. While in law school, Mr. McFarlane worked in the Bluhm Legal Clinic and gained valuable trial experience representing juvenile defendants in criminal cases and public school expulsion hearings. He was also the Executive Editor of the Journal of International Law and Business, a legal journal devoted to studying and analyzing the impact of modern international law in a private business context. Prior to law school, Mr. McFarlane received his B.A. in Latin American History and Political Science from Northwestern University, and worked in the workers’ compensation insurance industry for two years.
Mr. McFarlane joined Bowles & Verna as an associate in 2006, and has represented a variety of clients in all manners of civil litigation. His practice focuses on primarily on business litigation and commercial disputes, but also includes trust administration, appellate litigation, employment and real estate matters.
